When you live on campus, you’ll have access to multiple amenities to make your stay with us fun and enjoyable, and put you on a path of personal fulfillment and academic success.

First, the dorms are close to everything, so you’ll be a short walk from academic buildings, dining halls and recreation and sports opportunities.

Personalize your space

Make yourself at home and bring your personality to life as you arrange and decorate your dorm room on your terms. You are given a great degree of freedom in arranging your room furniture — posters, TVs, plants, pictures, lamps, and other accessories and decorations help your room quickly become a home.

Furnishings

No need to purchase (or haul) heavy furniture to UW-Whitewater. Included in each room: Beds and mattresses, dressers, desks and chairs, mirror, book shelves, drapes, garbage and recycling containers.

Entertainment

Watch your favorite movies and TV shows with our dedicated streaming service (and new titles added monthly), or scan more than 100 cable channels, including a variety of HBO and Showtime channels.

Amenities in the residence halls

University Housing offers numerous amenities to help students live their best life in each building. From vacuum cleaners to pianos, you’re sure to find something to make your academic journey fun and comfortable while living in the residence halls! (Note: the gallery below is not inclusive of all available amenities.)

Big screen televisions

All residence halls have televisions for student use located in common areas.

Sand volleyball courts

Do you like the beach? Our sand volleyball courts are conveniently located on Warhawk Drive in front of Ma’iingan and Fischer halls and across the street from the Williams Center and Warhawk Outdoor Tennis Complex. They are within walking distance from all residence halls and are a perfect place to let loose and have fun with a group of friends.

Reception desk

Each residence hall’s reception desk is staffed during afternoon and evening hours. Grab your mail, ask questions, and check out a wide variety of tools, games, and equipment.

University Fitness Center

Located in the basement of Wells East Hall, University Fitness is fully equipped with weight lifting and aerobic conditioning equipment. University Fitness also offers an extensive array of programs including Aerobic Dance Classes, Step Aerobics, individual and group contests and events, and educational classes. University Fitness provides a trained staff ready to assist you in developing an effective fitness program and healthier lifestyle.

Carpeting

Every residence hall is furnished with completely carpeted hallways to minimize noise in the building. Most residence hall rooms on campus are fully carpeted with the exception of some rooms with accessibility-related modifications.

Indoor recreation

The residence halls are equipped with several indoor activities, including pool tables, ping pong tables, and foosball tables. Equipment can be checked out from the front desk, or students may supply their own.

Appliances

Each residence hall features a kitchen with a stove and oven for student use.

Computer labs

All residence halls include computer labs and printing stations that provide access to the most popular software and email functions.

University Housing is dedicated to student success, especially outside of the classroom. We’ve teamed with a number of campus areas to bring academic growth opportunities to students, including:
