GIVING

Offer your time, talents, treasure, ties and testimony to Warhawks

Giving goes beyond the simple act of donating time, money, or resources. It’s creating opportunities for people. It’s giving them confidence to succeed. It’s fueling ideas that drive the future.

Do you have a passion for mentoring others? Would you like to support a UW-Whitewater student having trouble paying for school? Is there a topic or subject you’d like to discuss with a class as an expert panelist? There are several ways to positively engage with the university.

We appreciate your generosity throughout the year. Your philanthropic work provides students the support they need to attend the university, help attract and retain dedicated faculty members, and enhance the student experience.

Display your support on campus

A purple and white sign hangs from a lightpost.

Warhawks Way Banners offer a fresh and engaging opportunity for Warhawk alumni and supporters to display their UW-Whitewater pride. Whether highlighting a cherished memory, a group of friends, former roommates, or an organization, these banners grace lamp posts along Carter Mall south of Starin Road, shining brightly throughout the year. Each day, students and visitors moving through the mall encounter the names of esteemed donors, honored families, organizations, or sports teams that make a lasting impact on our community.

If you would like more information on the Warhawks Way Banner program or banner message options, please contact the Foundation Office at foundation@uww.edu or 262-472-1105.

Banner text is customizable. Here are the guidelines.

  • Header: two lines, up to 12 characters per line
  • Message: four lines, up to 16 characters per line
  • Banners cannot be used to advertise a business

Your donation will go to the Warhawks Give Fund, which supports access to education and the university's greatest needs.

To order your banner, fill out the Warhawk Way Banner form by Friday, Aug. 14, 2026.

A transformative experience

For more than a decade, the Schuh Visiting Artist — funded by an endowment set up by Annette (Derge) Schuh ’71 and her husband, Dale — has annually engaged with students in UW-Whitewater’s Department of Art and Design in immersive workshops and one-on-one discussion. Hands-on learning is the focus in this high-impact experience.
