The online Construction Safety graduate certificate is designed to allow working professionals with a bachelor's degree to acquire construction safety and health knowledge. The coursework will provide a background in construction topics, occupational safety, project management, and negotiation skills. Students will learn to identify hazards, apply fundamental concepts of ergonomics and musculoskeletal disorder prevention, and effectively manage safety projects in construction settings.
Note: Students in the Construction Safety graduate certificate program can enroll in the Master of Science in Environmental Safety and Health or Master of Business Administration programs at UW-Whitewater if they meet the program criteria, and certificate courses that are part of a degree program may count toward completion of that degree at a later date.

Admission Requirements:
No GMAT required.
To qualify for admission to the certificate program, you must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited institution with either an overall grade point average of 2.75 or above or at least a 2.90 GPA in the last half of the undergraduate program. You can also qualify for admission with either a master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution or 12 credits of graduate work completed at UW-Whitewater.
