International experience helps diversify your skill-set and broaden your perspective. You gain a greater understanding of how business trends and behaviors vary in different markets. The skills developed during an international experience will also help strengthen your connections in the business world, whether you are in your home market or abroad, and will help you operate effectively across different organizations.

The College of Business and Economics offers non-competitive scholarships to business students to help defray the cost of international experiences.

  • All graduate students qualify for a $1,000 scholarship for study abroad programs, which typically last a semester or year
  • Non-resident students qualify for additional $3,000 scholarships to further defray tuition of study abroad programs

UW-Whitewater and the college have also partnered with many institutions abroad to ensure students pay the same tuition and housing they would pay here on campus. The university may also have scholarships available.
