Career prospects in management are open-ended with the potential for leading personnel and business operations in almost any industry. Management majors can also customize their degree with an emphasis in Organization and Leadership Development, healthcare management, managing sports programs or nonprofit management.
Entrepreneurship
The Department of Management at UW-Whitewater is home to one of the top-ranked Entrepreneurship programs in the nation. With a combination of practical courses, faculty with extensive private sector experience, and successful alumni, it is an ideal option for prospective entrepreneurs. Human Resource Management
Effective human resource management is critical to the success of organizations and employees. In the development of rigorous, relevant curriculum, the Department of Management has aligned with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Curriculum Guidebook and Templates, which define the minimum HR content areas that should be studied by HR students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
