Management is an expansive discipline affecting every aspect of government, corporate and non-profit organizations.

The Department of Management at UW-Whitewater develops leaders with outstanding organizational and problem solving abilities. Undergraduate students with an interest in management can choose between a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship, General Management or Human Resource Management. The department also offers numerous courses for graduate students looking to continue their education with a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Management or Human Resource Management. In addition, several faculty are part of the Doctorate of Business Administration program.

Entrepreneurship

The Department of Management at UW-Whitewater is home to one of the top-ranked Entrepreneurship programs in the nation. With a combination of practical courses, faculty with extensive private sector experience, and successful alumni, it is an ideal option for prospective entrepreneurs. UW-Whitewater offers several programs and events offering opportunities for experiential learning and networking.

Human Resource Management

Effective human resource management is critical to the success of organizations and employees. In the development of rigorous, relevant curriculum, the Department of Management has aligned with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Curriculum Guidebook and Templates, which define the minimum HR content areas that should be studied by HR students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
