Counseling Services

For decades, the UW-Whitewater's University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) has provided hands-on training for master's interns and doctoral practicum students in counseling, psychology, and social work. 

Why Train at UHCS? 

  • Established Program - A long-standing, integrated training site in a university health and wellness center.
  • Real-World Experience - TGain skills in individual & group counseling, crisis intervention, outreach, and consultation.
  • Expert Supervision - Receive weekly individual and group supervision plus training seminars.
  • Multidisciplinary Exposure - Work alongside counselors, psychologists, socual workers and medical staff.

Master's Internship Program

  • Duration: Two semesters, 24 hours/week
  • Opportunities: Provide counseling, outreach and consultation
  • Supervision:  2 hours individual, 1 hour group, 1-2 hours training seminars/week
