Counseling Services

We provide time-sensitive and goal-oriented mental health support to students through a wellness-centered approach. Our services foster emotional, academic, social and personal development, enhancing student success and well-being. We integrate cuturally responsive care, ensuring an inclusive and supportive campus environment. 

Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm

Student Eligibility

Most Counseling services are covered at no cost for all currently enrolled students. 

Summer Session: 

  • Students enrolled in summer session can access services at no cost 
  • Students not enrolled in summer session but were enrolled in Spring and are registered for Fall can pay a one-time fee to continue services over the summer (end of Spring term to July 31)
  • Graduates are not longer eligible for services

Scheduling an Appointment

You have three options to make a counseling appointment:

  • Call: Please call 262-472-1305 during normal business hours to make an appointment, 
  • Email: If calling is anxieity inducing, you may email us and we will call you to make an appointment. 
  • Visit: Make an appointment at the Counseling Center, located on the 2nd floor of the Ambrose Health Center

To cancel an appointment: You can call 262-472-1305, reply to the email reminder you received, reply to the text message reminder, or log into your MYUHCS portal. 

In the case of a mental health emergency when the counseling service is closed, call:

  • University Health & Counseling After Hours line:262-472-1305
  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Line: Call, text or chat 988
  • University Police: Non-emaergency call 262-472-4660
  • UWW Sexual Misconduct: 262-472-1060 (24-hour number)
  • Always call 911 if you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency
