Scholarships are a form of gift aid provided by various sources.  Students interested in scholarship funds should be prepared to do their own research.  Scholarship resources include online search engines, high schools, student or parent employers, community organizations, or religious organizations.  Below is a list of various online sources students may investigate for scholarship information.

UW-Whitewater Campus Scholarships

Continuing students have the opportunity to apply for scholarships between mid-November to mid-February. Students will receive an email once the website is open for applications. Freshmen are considered for scholarships based on their application for admission. To be considered for freshmen awards, students must be admitted by January 1.

Wisconsin high school seniors with the highest grade point average are designated by their high school to receive this award for $2250 per year. Students must maintain continuous enrollment and eligibility cannot exceed 8 semesters.

Scholarship Scams

Be aware that there are organizations which will try to scam students.  These services may "guarantee" funding for students if the student pays a fee.  Sometimes these organizations will imitate valid scholarship searches or they will mail information to student addresses found through directory information.  If you need help determining the validity of a scholarship search, go to one of the following websites:
