Online Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety

Occupational Safety is a hands-on and constantly changing field dedicated to protecting the safety and health of workers and the public across all sectors of the economy. Professionals in this field have the opportunity to evaluate the workplace environment and implement programs that ensure employee and customer safety, health, and productivity, as well as environmental and regulatory compliance.

The Occupational Safety major culminates in a full semester internship with a practicing safety professional. The UW-Whitewater Occupational Safety major is a Qualified Academic Program (QAP) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), and students graduating from the program are eligible to become a Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP). All online students have ready access to academic advising, library services, financial aid, technical support, mentoring, and career services.
