Undergraduate Overview

Please note that online BBA courses are charged separate tuition from the traditional face-to-face classes. The online BBA course tuition is not included in the 12-credit fixed tuition cost for traditional classes.

Requirements for admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degree programs are detailed below.
Bachelor of Business Administration
Students at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater may declare a business major at any point in their studies, including their freshman year. Any student who meets the admission requirements is admitted to the College of Business and Economics. No separate application is required.
The minimum combined GPA requirement varies depending on the number of credits you have earned. In order to declare a business major, the following minimum requirements must be met:
- Less than 24 credits = 2.0 combined GPA
- 24 to 72 credits = 2.5 combined GPA
- 24+ credits = combined 2.5 GPA
Business majors may register for any business class presuming that they meet the prerequisites and that they have a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
What if I don’t meet the grade point average admission requirements?
- If your grade point average does not meet these requirements, please contact your academic adviser in the Advising and Career Services area located on the first floor of Hyland Hall.
Bachelor of Science
A Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Occupational Safety is available through the College of Business and Economics. Students may declare this major at any point in their studies. To obtain an internship and graduate, the Occupational Safety student must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average both in the major and overall.
Ready to apply? All prospective students must apply through the University of Wisconsin System website. An overview of the application process is provided below.
- Go to the online application portal. NOTE: This link will take you to the University of Wisconsin System website, where you will register as a new user or log in to complete your application. Please review the instructions in the application portal before completing your application.
- Pay the nonrefundable $50 application fee. After submitting your completed application, you will be provided the option to pay the application fee by credit card (Mastercard or Visa), or to pay using a check or money order. NOTE: Military personnel who have been on active duty within the past three years may apply for an application fee waiver.
- Watch for an email from UW-Whitewater confirming receipt of your application and identifying missing information or additional documentation required. You will also receive information you can use to access a website where you can monitor the progress of your application.

UW-Whitewater's Veteran Benefits Coordinator will be happy to provide specific details on veteran benefits to finance your degree program. Veterans, active duty service members and U.S. Army Reserve/National Guard members with qualifying active duty service may also be eligible for waiver of the application fee by submitting a certification form signed by our Veteran Benefits Coordinator.
