Institutional Integrity and Legitimacy: Today’s Supreme Court
The Supreme Court of the United States has engaged in decision-making, from time to time, that has been met with public opposition. When this opposition has mobilized, the legitimacy of individual justices or a particular majority or justices has been called into question. Under the most extreme conditions, the legitimacy of the institution itself has become suspect. This is not new. What does seem new are concerns about the integrity and ethics of individual justices outside of their decision-making on the Court. In addition, how their ethics or lack thereof may translate into influence on the bench.

Lectures may be recorded and posted to our Fairhaven Lecture website and YouTube channel.
