Fairhaven Lecture Series

Since 1983, UW-Whitewater faculty and staff from the Whitewater and Janesville campuses, along with area business and community leaders, have been presenting multi-disciplinary lectures to thousands of lifelong learners. Continuing Education partners with Fairhaven Senior Services to host the lectures during the academic year. Videos of lectures that have been recorded are posted to the website approximately one week after they take place.

The Making of America: Historical Events, Modern Implications

This year marks a historic milestone: two and a half centuries of the American experiment. Our nation remains a work in progress, and the social, economic, and political struggles we face today are deeply rooted in our past. Join us this fall for a series of lectures that reflect on our foundational history and explore its enduring impact on modern society, including a lecture on an upcoming consequential midterm election. Join us, won’t you?

Lectures are held on Mondays at 3 p.m. in Olm Fellowship Hall of Fairhaven Senior Services, 435 West Starin Road, Whitewater. All lectures are free and open to the public.
