Midalis Delacruz

Hello Warhawks! Welcome to UW-Whitewater! My name is Midalis Delacruz, and I am excited to be joining the Academic Advising & Exploration Center as an Academic Advisor in the Spring of 2025! As a proud Warhawk myself, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Sociology from Mount Mary University, and I recently completed my Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration Leadership from UW-Whitewater.

I’ve spent the past few years in Whitewater, where I've had the opportunity to serve as a Graduate Assistant for University Housing and work as a Bilingual Admissions Counselor. My experience on campus has provided me with a strong understanding of the student experience and the resources available to help you succeed.

Outside of my professional roles, I’m passionate about giving back to the community. I currently serve as the Campus Ministry Director for a student organization called Evolve Whitewater, where I help lead faith-based activities and foster a welcoming space for students to connect spiritually and socially.

Advice to New Students: Ask questions and get involved! Don’t be afraid to reach out to professors, advisors, or fellow students—everyone is here to support you. Getting involved in campus life, whether through a sport, a club, or an organization that aligns with your passions, will help you feel connected and make the most of your time at UW-Whitewater. Your journey here is all about exploration, so take advantage of the resources and opportunities available to you!
