In Great Teaching, Professor of Theatre/Dance Barb Grubel talks about teaching her favorite class — improvisation — virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the stunning, unexpected results.

"The idea that they were thrown this curveball has brought out things that I don't think we would have explored had we been in the studio normally. And so this experience is making me rethink how I will teach this class in the future," she said. "I mean it's such a gift. They didn't give up — they dug deeper."
