Many of our students like talking about themselves, so why not take advantage of that while developing their writing skills? This webinar will focus on a narrative nonfiction writing unit where students write stories of their own lives. Your facilitator, Jen López (2020 Teacher of the Year from the Minnesota Council of Teachers of Languages & Cultures) will share ideas and examples, and discuss mentor text study and mini-lessons focused on writer’s craft, idea generation, and writing mechanics.
Note: All languages are welcome in this workshop! Jen is Spanish/English bilingual and translanguaging will be used throughout.
