Building thematic units for Spanish heritage language classes: Identity, Race, & Social Justice

Please join us as we work in community on collaborative unit creation. We will share resources and full units, talking through the process of creating new and effective units. There will be an emphasis on guided collaboration and dedicated work time. Each session will have a focus theme we will build off of. Let’s work together to create strong, engaging units to use in our classrooms! This summer workshop will consist of 3 sessions of 2.5 hours each. Michaela and Jen will share unit plans and then provide intensive work time and peer-support for designing units. Session 1: Identity Session 2: Social Justice Session 3: Latinx Studies
