School Based Mental Health Counseling

Stepping into the world of school-based mental health can feel a bit like learning a new language. You’re moving from the "clinical island" into a fast-paced, academic ecosystem where your goals have to align with educational success. We invite school based staff and mental health clinicians and students to join us in this course intended to explore the integration of school and mental health systems. We hope to create an opportunity for all of us to deepen our understanding of how to successfully integrate these systems to create powerful outcomes for the students and adults we serve.

Some of the topics that will be covered in this course include: multitiered systems of support and special education as they relate to clinical mental health services, understanding school culture and collaboration within a school system, HIPPA vs. FERPA, and creative clinical interventions within a school setting.  We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Virtual on Thursdays, March 18-May 15, 2026 | 5:30-7:30 p.m.
