Going to the Zoo!

Sounds N’ Visions is an annual day camp for elementary school students to explore music through engaging sessions and musical activities. This year, the theme is “Going to the Zoo!”. Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to explore the music around them and experience various musical instruments. Students will be grouped by age and will rotate between sessions taught and guided by UW-W music education students. One session that is popular amongst students is our instrumental “petting zoo”, where students get hands-on exposure to brass, woodwind, string and percussion instruments. Concluding the day, students will give a final performance showcasing what they have learned for parents and guardians to attend. Come and join us for an exciting musical adventure- in outer space! It’s an event you won’t want to miss! Sponsored by the UW-Whitewater chapter of the National Association for Music Education Collegiate. This clinic is available to all grades K-5.

*New this year! Due to a newly adjusted schedule, we will not be having a snack break; instead, camp will include lunchtime, so please send your student with a cold lunch to eat. Campers will get to hear UWW music students perform during the casual, musical lunch!

Two Sessions Available | 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • Rock County Campus Session 1 | Sunday, February 8, 2026
  • Main Campus Session 2 | Saturday, February 14, 2026
