Keynote Speaker

Laura Paisley Beck was a devoted high school yearbook editor back in the ’90’s at Sevastopol, High School, Door County, WI. She graduated from Carroll College in 1993 with a double major in Environmental Science and English, and a double minor in Communications and Biology. Her past includes serial entrepreneurship in which she wrote articles in exchange for advertising in numerous publications. She also was the oddball award-winning creative salesperson who wrote compelling sales materials to get through to the key decision makers and earn business. She has written articles and columns for various publications including the Peninsula Pulse, Door County Living, and Natural Awakenings Magazine. In March 2020 she was a writer in residence at Write On, Door County, where she worked on her debut novel. She also authored one chapter in each of two books the Madison Area Business Consultants group published, We Wish We Had Known. She now resides in Madison, WI, and owns Wa’am Writes, LLC, where she creates marketing content for and/or consults social organizations to boost their mission towards a safe, diverse, equitable, inclusive world.
