Definitions
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;"><strong>Annual Allocation:</strong> The funding distributed to a student organization or allocable-receiving entity for a given fiscal year.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;"><strong>Contingency Fund:</strong> Funds remaining from prior allocations that are overseen by the Segregated University Fee Allocation Committee and used to support unanticipated needs or program expansion.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;"><strong>Ex-officio:</strong> An ex-officio member, as it relates to the Segregated University Fee Allocation Committee, is a member of a given organization, committee, or council who is granted membership because of a position they were hired, elected, or appointed to. While ex-officio members are allowed to attend all meetings, including closed sessions, they are not given privileges akin to other members. Ex-officio members are not to vote, count towards quorum, or make motions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;"><strong>Line-Item Transfer:</strong> The reallocation of funds from one approved budget category to another within an organization’s approved budget.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;"><strong>Spending Review:</strong> A review conducted by the Segregated University Fee Allocation Committee to evaluate compliance with approved budgets and support responsible use of Segregated University Fees.</span></p>
